There are up to eight players in the game – each player with a command ship which must be protected from the fighter planes of other players
Each player starts the game with a FREIGHTER SHIP – this can be upgraded to fighter planes – In the basic game players can up grade to three fighter planes
To be able to move your attack fighters – you first have to move your freighter ship to the first REPAIR YARD IN SECTOR ONE
On the board layout there are three upgrade repair yard board tiles in each of the eight space segments – representing three levels of upgrade that you can get

- WHITE SQUADRON
- BLUE SQUADRON
- RED SQUADRON
- GREEN SQUADRON
- YELLOW SQUADRON
