what to do to get started – 2

CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS PAGE

  • 1) GAME GROUPS MAY BE UP TO 8 PLAYERS in the basic game – You can have as many game groups as you like in your personal home game group Let us know if you have more than one game group who would like to play Try to fill all the spaces for each game group of eight people
  • 2) Once we have introduced more than one game to play – we will need to know which game you would like to play
  • 3) Before the game starts each player should be allocated a game seat and the order of play agreed
  • 4) If you let us know in plenty of time we can also include on our website details of how many spaces are still available for your game and the starting pot of gold figure – a GOOD POT OF GOLD FIGURE CAN BE USED TO HELP ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO JOIN YOUR GAME GROUP – remember that as an organizer of a home game group you will receive 15% of the final pot of gold
  • 5) It’s also useful for potential players to know the estimated pot of gold figure – based on how much will be added by each player during the game and how long the game will last
  • 6) You will soon be able to add special uncirculated UK coins to your pots of gold These will become available gradually from our website Other quality gifts can also help to attract attention to your games and offer something of extra value to the winners
  • 7) Try to find out if there is anything of special interest to your players so that you can personalize the game for them Make your home game parties fun and entertaining Ask the players and let us know if your game requires players to role play their character and or dress up for the game – remember this can put some people off of the game as they may not want to do this
  • 8) If you are going to include gifts in your pot of gold – make sure that each player knows any theme required for the gifts such as hair, make up etc and the value of the gift – so that each player contributes equally to the pot – for example between £5 to £10
  • 9) We need to know how many winners will share the pot of gold and who the winners are once the game has been played – remember in the basic game there will be a minimum of two winners – one thief and one police character
  • 10) As we get more groups joining and the players become more experienced we will be introducing a PLAYER EXPERIENCE LEVEL – so that competitions between home game groups can be fairly allocated – so that the players all have a similar level of experience and knowledge of the game being played
  • 11) If you have just started a new home game group – you can organize game party evenings for just NEW GAME PLAYERS – remember that part of your responsibility is to train and support the new members who join your home game group – otherwise you will loose them to other groups
  • 12) We will need to know whether your games are for beginners or more experienced players (use the experience star rating system to identify how experienced the players should be) – all the players for each game should have a similar experience level to make it fair for everyone
  • 13) Generally speaking it is up to the individual home game groups to arrange a suitable way of looking after the pots of gold for your games and distributing this to the winners of your games once finished
